In most cases The cutoff of every College or university goes down. As the highest scoring candidate gets in first rule is in every educational institutes So you could expect dip in the cutoff and the final merit list ranks or marks should be lowered in the next round.

Hello Aspirant,  In the final merit list mostly the rank goes down. This is even rarely seen that rank goes up. If your rank is about 10,000 then about 500 rank goes down. But if your rank is under 1000 to 2000 then you will not seen much variance.
