In undergraduation i have taken marketing but i want to go for finance in mba.please suggest me it's better or not.
If you love numbers and have an analytical learning style ,you must follow finance .Finance has plenty of opporunites but you need to see your interest of study.
Hello Sristi,
There is no problem at all. The only thing you need to take care of is to understand your interest. The MBA is a field which does not require any specific undergraduation. So, it is not at all a problem. Just focus on your interest and opt the best for you.
Good Luck.
Hope this helps.

Yes, you can study finance as your major subject in MBA. It will not create any difference rather this will help you in getting knowledge of both the fields and an edge over the other students. Opting for a specialisation is not so dependent on your previous academics. It's just your area of interest in the field in which you will be making your career.
Finance is one of the majority popular specializations in Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. An MBA in Finance offers benefits to working professionals in a diversity of industries, together with commercial and corporate banking, investment services and real estate.
Marketing graduates surely have larger prospects in the market due to the natural reason that marketing brings the money for finance to manage. However, rather than thinking that which one is better; it should be considered that what is the aptitude and the area of interest of the candidate?
Students who have an eye for detail and like mathematics and Numerics can go for an MBA in Finance. Whereas those who have excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality are suited to a career in Marketing.
Finance if you perform well; you will move to the top.
Managing the Marketing is more important than doing marketing.
If you are an introvert - Go for Finance.
If you are an extrovert - Go for Marketing.
Getting a job in Marketing is easy compared to Finance.
Thankyou
Hello Sristi,
It's perfectly fine you have gained knowledge of marketing in your undergraduation and will to take finance in MBA this will diverse your skills and make you more employable. It's also perfectly fine as they both are two different branches of commerce you might also have had study a bit of finance in your undergraduation. You can choose any speciality in MBA according to your interest and potential. Hope this might help you.
Hi,
It is not an issue at all if you have studied one branch of commerce and then choose a different field of study in management. It's more important that you are comfortable studying the subject. As you know Finance is a little more intricate than marketing but definitely has a good scope as well as pay packages depending on your colleges and cumulative performance. Many people opt for management with extremely diverse fields like pure science and arts so its fine as long as you put in your efforts.
Hope that answers your query !
