Good you are at Bengaluru, but you can surely relocate if chosen. Both the posts KAS and IAS are prestigious posts in India. The only difference is that IAS is Central Level Post while KAS is State Level Post. Qualifying IAS is bit difficult than clearing KAS Exam

Dear Vinay,
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Civil Services exam to recruit candidates for different All India Services and Central Civil Services for various departments of the Government of India.
The Civil Services Exam is commonly called as the IAS Exam.
IAS exam is conducted in two stages
  • Preliminary (objective-type paper) and
  • Mains (descriptive paper and interview)

  • You can do Registration 12 Feb3 Mar 2020.
  • The admit card of Preliminary Exam Will be available from Likely Apr 2020
Exam might take place on 31 May 2020

  • Admit card of Mains Exam will be available Likely Aug 2020 And Exam might take place on 18 Sep 2020
