Hi there,

See, there is no issue whether you are pursuing BBA LLB or BA LLB. The result would be same for both the case.

After completing the law graduation course either from BBA LLB or BA LLB or LLB. The duration of this integrated course is 5 years. You will be able to fetch a seat in the lower judiciary roles.

For becoming a judge you will need to pursue an LLM course. The path to becoming a judge is not difficult however the duration is something that hits hard. An excellent judge does not need to be highly graduated but some qualities are a must.

Eligibility to become a judge: A candidate needs to have a bachelors degree in law and have practised as an advocate.

Cracking a Judiciary exam:- It is one of the most questionable portions an individual thinks. By doing regular revision and practising mock tests will be the key to score the best position in the examination and the candidate pass with flying colours.

I hope this answer helps you. Revett here in case of any query.

Thank you and good luck:)

Hello,

Indeed, a legal degree is required in order for becoming a judge. A law degree from an institution recognised by the Bar Council of India is the bare minimum prerequisite for becoming a judge. After completing Class 12th, you can enrol in a 5-year integrated legal programme such as BA LLB/ BCOM LLB/ BBA LLB/etc.

Alternatively, you can pursue a three-year LLB degree after earning a bachelor's degree such as a BA, BCOM, or BBA. This will take you 6 years in total. By taking the Judicial Services Papers after completing your law degree, you can become a judge right away. Each state's judicial examinations are unique. If you pass the exam and the interview, you will be appointed as a Magistrat to the Lower Judiciary.

Procedure;Judicial Service Preliminary Examination and Judicial Service Main Examination are the two phases of the Judicial Service Exam. The Preliminary Exam is used to narrow down the field of applicants for the Main Exams. Preliminary exam scores are not taken into account for determining merit at a later level.Your overall scores in the Main Exam and the Interview are used to create the final merit list for the judges' selection.

Eligibility criteria:The qualifying requirements for judicial exams vary per state. In general, qualifying for the preliminary test requires an aggregate score of about 60% for general categories and around 55% for restricted categories. Each year, the minimum marks necessary in the preliminary round to qualify for the Mains test vary by state.

Syllabus-Syllabi vary by state, however the fundamentals are often the same. The key topics of law, current events of national and international knowledge, Indian Constitution, analytical skills and aptitude may be included in the Prelims syllabus. The Mains test syllabus will contain English and another language, as well as Law courses.

And after that an interview will be held.

Hope it helped

Thank you
