Not at all if you just check biotechnology and bioscience Engineering at various IIT and NIT is the only criteria is to get a decent rank in JEE advanced or jee main and therefore it is not at all mandatory to have Biology subject in class 12th in whitman institutes does not require Biology subject to study biotechnology including the premier institutes of the India that is Indian institutes of Technology therefore if you're just too good at physics chemistry and mathematics then we are sufficient to get admission into top colleges for biotechnology.
Dear Urkarsh, for studying Biotechnology, a minimum aggregate score of 50% for general category and 45% for SC/ST candidates at both X and XII classes is mandatory. You should have had Biology, Physics & Chemistry as main subjects at 10+2 level, with a minimum aggregate score of 60% in these three.So Biology is required to study Biotechnology.
