This really depends on your native state of eligibility. If you belong to the Maharashtra State but you haven't passed out your 10th/12th from Maharashtra, you will have to produce a valid proof stating that you are a resident of Maharashtra, you were born and brought in Maharashtra though you went out of the state for your intermediate studies. If I am not wrong, there are around 7/8 conditions on which a domicile certificate has to be produced.

If you were born in Maharashtra, passed out your 10th/12th from Maharashtra, then you would not be needing to produce a domicile certificate. But there are some other documents that are common to all that may be presented at the time of CAP rounds.

All the required certificates to be produced will be informed to you prior to the commencement of the CAP rounds.

Hello Pradeep

It is required if you were not born in Maharashtra. Without it your state rank will not be taken into account and your all rank will be taken.

The all India Rank will be about 200 ranks more than your state rank, which will affect your chances of getting into a college.

So if you are not born in Maharashtra, but are living here for 15 years, Please maje a domicile as it will help you a lot.
