It won't be right to say that a branch is better than the other branch of engineering as every single stream has its own significance. It totally depends upon your strength and interest. But to answer your question, Electronic and Communication engineering deals with conventional electronic devices and phenomena and the subjects are mostly based of applied physics that you have studied in 12th. Whereas, Computer science with AI and Machine learning contains many programming based subjects which must be a totally new domain for most of the students.
Concludingly, I would suggest that if you are interested in conventional physics and research then you should opt for electronics but, if you are interested in programming and highly paid IT jobs then you must go for Computer Science with AI and Machine learning.
