food technology do have some good future as long as you use it efficiently.
you can become a foot technician, quality controller, quality engineer, production manager, chef, nutritional therapist and many more. based on your own creativity, you can help athletes, body builders and many nutritional based works.
speaking of civil service, you can go to any department as you had math in class 12. so dont worry, any work after it is good as you have tech knowledge, and there some selective openings in govt for food tech jobs.
but for ias you can go with food tech.
