NCERT IS THE BASIC BOOK THAT YOU NEED TO GO THROUGH FIRST BEFORE TAKING UP ANY OTHER BOOKS. AS FOR HC VERMA, I WILL SAY IT IS BEST FOR NUMERICALS ( SINCE IT CONTAINS A VAST NUMBER OF PROBLEMS AS WELL AS SOLVED EXAMPLES). BUT I WILL RECOMMEND YOU TO TAKE UP ANOTHER BOOK FOR BUILDING YOUR CONCEPTS AS HC VERMA'S THEORY IS NOT SUFFICIENT. FOR THAT YOU CAN GO FOR:
- CENGAGE SERIES (BEST OPTION AS IT CONTAINS BOTH VAST NUMBER OF SOLVED EXAMPLES, UNSOLVED PROBLEMS AND AN EFFICIENT AND APT THEORY FOR BUILDING THE CONCEPTS)
- DC PANDEY (BEST FOR THE THEORY AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND LANGUAGE)
- RESNICK HALLIDAY (BEST IF YOU ARE REALLY LOOKING TO BUILD AN IN DEPTH CONCEPT OF THIS SUBJECT)
Hello Dear Student,
Concepts of Physics by HC Verma is a Good Book but NCERT Books of Physics are also recommended for JEE Preparation.
Other Recommend standard books:
1. Problems in General Physics by IE Irodov.
2. DC Pandey.
3. Resnick Halliday.
