IIIT Kalyani is among top Engineering institutes of India. It has been rated with AAA grade by Careers360. Being an IT based Institute, the coding culture is very good. Workshops are held at a regular basis and many coding competitions are also conducted. It may be not be well developed like other IIITs but offers basic facilties like separate hostels for boys and girls, well equipped library, well maintained laboratories, Transport and medical facilities etc. IIIT Kalyani has industry attachments with Coal India and Rolta Foundation. It is Comparatively a new college and being so the placements are above average. IIIT Kalyani is a good college for BTech in CSE branch. Following are the reasons:
- The professors are highly qualified in their subjects and are very much knowledgeable. They are very helpful and supportive.
- The basics of coding is being taught in the first year itself making it easier to understand for the rest of the years.
- There are smart classrooms with AC and the labs are also well equipped with good systems and well maintained.
- The mode of submissions for projects and assignments is mostly online.
- There are various coding competitions held by the seniors to improve coding skills of the students.
- There are many workshops conducted for the students.
- The placement record ahs been good in this college. The highest salary package was 17 LPA offered by JIO. Other companies like ADOBE and MATLAB are some of the top recruiting companies of this college. There are internships available.
