First of all, this is to inform you that UPSC CS exam is such type of examination which you can crack through putting your devotion and hard work and does not really matter which stream you are coming from. But for better clarification, I would give you a brief idea about UPSC CS syllabus division.
As per IAS syllabus and question pattern, if you take Psychology Degree, it will only help you as a MAINS Optional subject. Rather, if your ambition is IAS, I would suggest you to take Political Science or Law or Economics. This is because, most of the General Studies Portion in IAS prelims and mains will cover Polity, Economics and Current Affairs including Schemes, Yojanas and Legal Issues and rest will include Science and Technology.
