Well I would say that if you are taking a drop then this you should entirely your decision. Also you have to be mentally prepared yourself to concenterate at your studies throughout the one long year.
Also, now taling about difficulty no it won't crreate ay such.
You have just produce a drop year certificate/a stamp application/ or any docaument demanded by your institute which explains that you have done nothing wrong in your gap year.
Dropping or not is really a matter of personal opinion. If you are confident that you can work hard for another year without slacking off and strengthen your weaknesses of past 2 years then i would say go for it. If you are not confident enough and think that you would do it half-heartedly then it would be a complete waste of time. Another factor is the margin by which you missed the selection. If you were near and think another effort can change the result then go for it. But if you missed by miles then you could still opt for drop but mind you it is going to be a Herculean task. Think calmly and introspect what went wrong and can you rectify the errors by trying again? If yes then go for it.
Best of luck!!

Hey Nasim,
If you are determined to appear in JEE again, and you have belief to put all the hardwork then it's good to drop one year, many students do that. Droping an year won't put any hindrance in your admission next year. If you get good marks in JEE, then you will surely be selected, irrespective of you droping or not. All the best.
Hi Nasim,
In my opinion, you should only take a drop year, if you have the self-control and dedication to study thoroughly every day, otherwise, don't bother taking it.
I have seen many of my friends take a drop, study hard for two months and then fall away.
As far as admission goes, you will not have any problem in getting admission in top colleges next year if you secure a good rank in JEE Mains and Advanced.
All the best!!!
