Hello,
In India, whether it's government or private school, BEd is compulsory. If you look at CTET or any state level TETs, it clearly specifies a candidate to have passed teacher's training program which can be DEd or BEd. So, yes in order to have a teacher career in a good school with a good pay package, it's mandatory.
However, in case of teaching in colleges, you just need to qualify NET/SET.Eligibility is passed Master's Degree with minimum 55% aggregate.BEd isn't required in this case.

Hello,
.
Bachelor of education is more valuable in only few countries like kenya, tanzia etc but not in every country. Bachelor of education is not mandatory graduate degree for being a lecturer, you can even get a job with b.com. Most valuable, reputed Institutions will only ask for B. Edu for promoting a job, but you can get a job in many private institutions. Give a try
