colleges in maharashtra accepts admission in engineering from jee mains marks also but many colleges accepts only MHT-CET marks for admission .

you can get admission in maharashtra for courses like B.pharm , LLB ,MBA etc.. through MHT-CET .

MHT CET (Maharashtra) is conducted for admission in various colleges of Maharashtra in their B.tech, B.pharm, LLB, MBA, etc. programmes. Now if you are looking for engineering then most of the colleges consider CET for their admission, also their are number of colleges which also consider JEE Mains score for admission. So, you can use Jee Score to get admission in state colleges but remember it depends on colleges which score they are considering. Hence, do some research before applying in college. In order to get admission in Governmnet colleges of Maharashtra, You need to appear MHT CET Entrance Exam & you should have the domicile of Maharashtra. Outside Maharashtra students can appear for MHT CET but they won't be eligible for Government and Govt. Aided colleges, they will be eligible for All India Seats of Private colleges only.

The other state candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET as Score of JEE(Main) Paper I shall be preferred over MHT-CET for admission to B.E./B.Tech.

MHCET is the exam conducted for admission for all undergraduate courses in maharashta college. Most of the colleges take candidates based on MHCET. Although MHCET is not the only ticket into engineering colleges. JEE MAIN is also accepted by some colleges in maharashtra.

College of Engineering , Pune provides admission based on MHCET 2019.

So yes MHCET is necessary to get into College of Engineering, since the college provides no management seat.
