Is it necessary to pay the admission fee at nift before councelling? Actually what is NIFT councelling?

As per the last update candidates were not supposed to pay any registration fee for the first round of NIFT counselling 2020. which was goingto be held from 8th August to 13th August. After the student has been given a seat (admission) he or she will have to pay the full fee at the NIFT campus.
