Is it our common merit rank or the category merit rank on which basis we get admission in nift ??

Hi,

According to me it is the category merit rank according to which one can get admission in nift.There are different cuttoffs for students of different categories.This year Nift entrance exam was conducted on january,21 and its results were announced on march 22 and its councelling process will be held by the end of may.

the nift website has cut off of the prvious year. i want to know if the ranks mentioned on those lists of all the branches of design are common ranks or category ranks. Please do reply
