Is it possible to get into colleges like MIT , Standard etc if we are good in studies but don't have any external achievements ? If yes , then how?

Madras Institute of Technology was established in 1949 by Shri. C. Rajam. The college was merged with Anna University in 1978. adras Institute of Technology offers admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D level programmes. The courses offered for Madras Institute of Technology admissions are B.E/B.Tech, B.E Part Time, M.E/ M.Tech , M.E/M.Tech Part Time, M.Sc. and Ph.D. Before applying for admission, candidates first have to meet the eligibility criteria. For MIT Chennai admission to B.E/ B.Tech programme, candidates have to register on the TNEA website. After that, TNEA prepares merit list and ranks on the basis of 10+2 scores of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Qualified candidates have to register for TNEA counselling. Seats will be allotted as per the preference of the candidates. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks of the qualifying exam for B.E Part Time, M.E/M.Tech Part Time, M.Sc. Applied Mathematics programmes. According to the Madras Institute of Technology admission procedure for M.E/M.Tech programme, candidates have to appear for TANCET /GATE. Merit lists and ranks are prepared after the declaration of the result. Candidates whose names are on the rank list have to appear for TANCA counselling. After that, seats will be allotted as per the ranks. For Madras Institute of Technology admission to the Ph.D programme, candidates have to appear for a written test and interview. Selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the written test, interview and qualifying exam. Finally, to confirm the seats, candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.
