Dear Aspirant,

Data science is one of the most promising fields in the Btech in term of growth, placements, and salary. However, like any other professional course, BTech too must have to be done from a good college otherwise you will find it hard to get any placements if you did your Btech from some ABC institute.

The good colleges are undoubtedly, IITs, NITs, and IIITs(admission through JEE MAINS, ADVANCED, GATE ) in India and MIT, California Institute, Stanford, etc outside India( SAT, GMAT) . So try to get admission in one of these institutes. Now coming to either Btech or Mtech, you should do Btech in CS first from India and compromise to IIITs or NITs if you do not get into IITs but then do your masters from IITs in the field or you could also look out for foreign universities. Choose your masters carefully as that matters a lot if you are aiming for a career in the fields like data science.
