In some Multinational companies the minimum percentage of marks are considered for example  10th and 12th and engineering aggregate of minimum of 80% like that the minimum aggregate will depends upon the company standards

No, it does not effect the placements in engineering colleges. The 12th marks are just to fulfill the eligibility criteria of entrance exam. The placements of engineering depends on the person skills and knowledge. The more you explore new things the more your knowledge increases. You just have to maintain 7.5 cgpa to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the companies.
