No, mathematics as a subject is not compulsory for admission to the BBA programme offered at Indira Gandhi National Open University . According to the official website of the university, the following eligibility criteria is given for the BBA , BBA Retailing, and BBA Service Management :

  • BBA : Class 12 or equivalent level examination from a recognised Board/ Institution.
  • BBA Retailing ( Category A– Direct entry) : Class 12 or equivalent examination based on merit of physically fit candidates. There will be a Personal Interview at the regional center prior to selection.
  • BBA Retailing ( Category B– Sponsored Admission) : The sponsor is allowed to nominate employees, who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination, from their retail organisation.
  • BBA Service Management: Class 12 or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution, and must have passed the entrance exam conducted for this programme. Candidates must be working or willing to work in services industry as a full-time Intern/ Apprentice/ Employee.
