I think you meat Pondicherry college of Engineering. Placement wise it is a good college. At around 80-97% students get placed from this college from mechanical department. Companies like Nokia, HP, Dell and Amazon visit this college for recruitments. Highest salary offered is 12 LPA and lowest was 2.5 LPA.
Faculty includes professors who hold a PhD and are very good in their subjects. They are very helpful. Infrastructure wise, this college has all facilities for sudents like good WiFi, wide classrooms, big library etc. Overall, this college is good for mechanical engineering.
