Yes.

The most recommended Mtg books I think are

MTG monthly PCB magazines (very high yield)

NEET guide

Objective Ncert at your fingers.

Assertion and reason book. (must for those aiming at AIMS)

From my side the answer is a big yes. Specially for biology and chemistry i would say. As MTG publications focusses on problems based on NCERT books so it will be best to use them. And you can use their special assertion and reason based books for Aiims.

MTG publications are recommended ones for NEET preparation. They are very similar to paper pattern. I have used biology ones but my friends recommend other subjects' also. You can also look for their monthly newsletter (it used to come when I was preparing but not sure about now)

Yah... undoubtedly mtg books the best companion for Neet preparation. They are the best complements of NCERT .Practise exercises from mtg books after thoroughly going through the chapters of NCERT. The concept maps in mtg are really helpful in retaining formulae in mind plus the numerous  excersises , the monthly practice papers, the NEET essential portion and all practice papers are really helpful. To be honest i am not brandishing mtg through this answer, rather telling out my own experience. From 11th class onwards i started preparing for NEET without going to any coaching institutions. The only thing i did was to read and practise NCERT as well as mtg monthly magazines(physics for you, chemistry today, biology today).Month before NEET, mtg's NEET explorer containing 20 previous year's question and practice papers is of great help to NEET aspirants. And yes, unless and otherwise you clear your concepts of NCERT,mtg can't help you.All the best.Give your best.

Hello Namera,

NCERT books are the best for the preparation for NAtional entrance exam test( NEET UG).

You can also go through the other books which are also useful

For biology

1) Trueman's Biology

2) Objective Biology by Dinesh

3) Pradeep Publication's Biology

4) NCERT Part one and two

For physics

1) H.C verma - Concepts of Physics

2) NCERT part one and two

3) D C Pandey Objective Physics

4) Fundamentals of Physics- Halliday,  Resnick and walker

For Chemistry

1) NCERT BOOKS

2) O.P. Tendon- Physical Chemistry

3) Morrison and Boyd- Organic Chemistry

4) Dinesh Chemistry

You would also have to improvise on your general knowledge, which you can by subscribing to magazines or newspapers. PCB magazine is a good subscription and helpful too.

I would advice you to not buy all the books but to choose one and keep practicing and revising from it. Do several multiple choice questions.

NEET has negative marking. It has 180 questions, and you are given +4 for the right answer and -1 for the wrong answer.

You have to decide wisely which question to answer and which question to leave, according to the probabiloty if you can answer 6 right questions for every 10, then you need not worry about the rest of the fur answers and leave them. Donot answer all the questions and get negative markings.

Goodluck Namera.

Hope this helps.

But if you do answer it wrong, you would get a negative score.
Probability says if you answer 6 right question out of 10, you would be getting 24 marks, without any wrong answer.

But if you answer all 10 questions, and six of them are right you get 24, and four of them are wrong the. You get -4, which brings down your score to 20.

The same goes with other questions too. Answer the questions when you're confident about them. Circle the questions you're unsure about and once when you're done with all the questions come back to the unanswered questions.

A multichoice question is based on probability.
