You can start your preparation by NCERT books because basics are more important for such competitive exams. But for exams like BITSAT, NCERT is not enough. You must go through NCERT to start your preparation but practice others book too. Because different question gives you edge in your preparation. Hope this is helpful.

Ncert can be considered a book for strengthen the fundamental and core concepts.If you are using ncert for making your concepts strong then this is the best choice.

But ,If you want to practice more questions then you shouldn't practicing previous year question of jee Advanced for Bitsat.

You can also prefer book named as Universal self scorer Because it has lot of questions with their proper solution and explanation.
