Hello aspirant,

No, admission to the BSc medical lab technology program does not require the NEET entrance exam. Medical laboratory technology (MLT) is a scientific discipline that uses clinical laboratory tests to diagnose, analyze, treat, and prevent diseases.

Thank you

Hi Injila,

No , NEET is not required for BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc MLT) or equivalent allied health sciences courses. Mostly, the intake for these programs is done on:

Merit-Based Admission:

In most colleges and universities, they provide admission strictly based on performance in 12th-grade examinations, usually in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

Entrance Exams:

Some universities or institutes conduct their specific entrance exams for BSc MLT or other allied health courses. It includes:

-JIPMER

-AIIMS for Allied Health Science courses

-University or state-specific entrance exams

If you have a target course as allied health sciences, take into consideration specific requirements of targeted institutions. The requirement of NEET is very limited to specific courses like MBBS, BDS, and BAMS, BHMS, and BVSc.

You can check out the given link for more details regarding this. Hope this helps!

Good luck!
