Hey!

As per the information available, to write PMET candidate must be Indian (nationality). Candidates at the border of Punjab can also write the exam. And other candidates with following conditions can also apply:

  • Candidates who are sons and daughters of the late employee of Punjab Government/Central Government/All India Services.

  • Children of late employees of military/ex-military/ paramilitary forces, born in the territory of Punjab.

  • Children of defense personnel posted in Punjab.

  • Minority and NRI candidates may also apply

Also, note that it is a state level entrance exam conducted by  the Baaba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. 138 universities of Punjab are affiliated to Baaba Farid University. So, candidates of other states can also write the exam, but the cutoffs for them will be high.

Kindly note that PMET is not considered now for mbbs admission.

Thankyou

Hello Aspirant,

PMET is not considered nowadays because from now admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS or any other AYUSH courses is made only on the basis of NEET score irrespective of any college or state there might be different counselling bodies but the entrance examination would be same i.e., NEET. So if you are seeking admission to MBBS course either in India or in Abroad then you have to mandatorily appear for NEET and also to appear for NEET one needs to satisfy it's eligibility criteria which is described below :-

The candidate should have passed your class 12th/PUC with Physics, Biology and Chemistry as mandatory subjects and also you should have your minimum aggregate of 50% separately in theory as well as practical part for Unreserved category, 40% for OBC/SC/ST and 45% for PwD certificate holders. Also note that in your curriculum English subject should also be there.

As there is no upper age limit for NEET but there is minimum age limit for NEET which is 17 years which means that if you want to appear for NEET 2021 the you must have completed your 17 years on December 31st 2021, if all above eligibility criteria are fulfilled by you then you can appear for NEET UG 2021.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
