Is the difference between private and government medical colleges only about the fee? Is a student regarded as inferior to the students of government colleges after mbbs completion in any way?

There are very few parameters which draws a fine line between a candidate from a government medical college and one from the private college:

Practise and classes:The background of patients coming for treatments in a private college is much different from that of a government college.Patients are generally poor or of middle class who comes to government hospitals.Government college students surfaces to more experience since more number of people or patients visit everyday.Government medical colleges makes you an independent doctor whereas private ones try to spoon feed you.The classes in private are however according to the schedule unlike government colleges.The patient load in government college is always higher so you learn more.

Merit:

Obviously the ones getting chances in government colleges are much more meritious than the ones in private college.So in the long run the students passing out from government college are much more brighter and independent as of a doctor.

Placements:As we all know the government colleges ensures good placements than private ones.

So I would recommend anyone to study MBBS in some Government colleges.

There is no difference between Government and Private medical colleges except for Fees and admission process. The whole curriculum is same for all institutes with minor differences.

The reason for why students choose government medical college over private medical college is because of fees only. As Government Medical colleges has very less fees, they are preferred over private medical colleges.

So, you'll not face any kind of differences or will not be regarded as inferior if you take admission in private medical colleges..
