Is the EWS reservation increased to 10% in this year 2020 in JoSAA counseling...pls answer

Last year, not all colleges were able to increase the EWS seats, though it was announced that 10% seats will be reserved for EWS category.

As per your question,EWS reservation is already 10%, so it is not going to increase, but since some of the colleges were not able to increase seats last year, they could increase this year.

EWS reservation are for those candidates who are in open category and income is very low, economically weaker section. Reservation to EWS is 10%. Apart from that there is no increment happened. 10% reservation is there in the counselling. It is also not likely that it will increase.

The EWS reservation is provided to the candidate belonging to the economically weaker session of the society and who are not applicable to the other reservation like obc,sc ,st etc.

In all the government institution 10% of seats are reserved for the EWS category candidates.

For the year 2020-2021 there will be 10% reservation in admission to the EWS category candidate.

There is no increase by 10% in EWS reservation but there will be 10% of seats reseved for EWS category.
