There will be different entrance exams for different programs at Doon University . There will be an entrance test followed by an interview for Ph.D. and M.Phil. students. Candidates who have qualified for the NET/JRF entrance test for Junior Research Fellowships undertaken by CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, ICSSR, DAE, or any regulatory body, or who hold an INSPIRE fellowship from DST, are excluded from the entrance test. Those with two years of teaching and/or research experience or an M.Phil. degree with evidence of one published paper in a referred journal are excluded from the entrance exam.

Admission to M.Tech. programs will be based on an entrance exam followed by an interview.
