Hi Mukesh Maddock,

According to the news published for previous year

The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) has released official notification regarding AIPVT 2017. It has been mentioned that the All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) 2017 will not be conducted by VCI due to administrative reasons. This is for those candidates who wish to take admission in Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry course under 15% seats on all India basis. The examination will have to be conducted by VCI for filling up 15% of total number of seats in recognized Veterinary Colleges under All India Quota for 2017-18 academic year.

The concerned  candidates are suggested to go through the details given below regarding the examination. Candidates who will be taking admission to BVSc & AH course under 15% seats on all India basis are hereby informed that they are required to appear in NEET UG 2017 instead of AIPVT 2017. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 7, 2017. As per the notification released, the Veterinary Council of India are required to use the merit list of NEET UG 2017 for allocation of seats to all the recognized veterinary colleges (except Jammu and Kashmir).

The admission will be to BVSc & AH course under 15% all India quota. Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984) was enacted in 1984. This year the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 7, 2017. Hii, According to the latest information the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), has declared that from now onwards all the AIPVT 2017 will not be taken by VCI due to certain reasons. So, the students who want to enroll with the government and private sector Veterinary Colleges to graduate in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry course will have to appear in the NEET exams commencing from 2017.

As every student interested in Vet Sciences Education knows that there are 15% seats on all India basis. The merit to get admission in any government recognized Veterinary College will be made according to the numbers achieved in NEET exams

The first NEET exams were conducted in May 2017 that also included Veterinary course candidates and merit was made through the NEET scores gained by the Veterinary candidates.
