Hello,

From your profile it seems you belong to karnataka, hence I presume the query is regarding Karnataka Administrative Service, there are mainly three stages as mentioned below

Prelims has two papers, it's conducted in offline mode in MCQs format, paper I has General Studies for 80 marks with 40 questions, and humanities has 120 marks with 60 questions, Paper II has General studies related to state for 80 marks, General Mental Ability of 60 marks, and Science and Technology, Ecology and Environment of 60 marks, for each wrong answer 0.25 mark is deducted.

Mains has a total of seven paper, in which English and Kanmada are qualifying by nature, carrying 150 marks each, and both are for a duration of two hours, and then there is Essay, General Studies I, General Studies II, General Studies III, General Studies IV, each of 250 marks,

Interview is of 50 marks
