MBA IN IT VS MSC COMPUTER SCIENCE

With growing demand for both the graduates, it is becoming difficult to choose your career path. Both MBA in IT and MSc in Computer Science are post graduate degrees in good fields. But the major difference in both these courses is that by doing MBA you will get a variety of opportunities. • Firstly majority of the colleges offer you a general MBA program. In your second year you can pick and choose majority of the subjects from the specialisation which you want to take up. However, an MBA in IT specifically from a top B School is very rare.
• While doing an MBA, it is best to do from prestigious B Schools like the IIMs only because an MBA from a normal college will not give so many opportunities.
• Degree: A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) offers career opportunities across various industries and opens up a wide range of options for you.
• Knowledge/Specialisation: An MBA degree imparts knowledge in various subjects like Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, and Human Resources Development.

MSc:

Actually there is a basic similarities between those courses although the job roles are quite different.

MBA in it is basically a two years long postgraduate job oriented degree course. This is a course which includes both IT sector related knowledges and business management related knowledges. And after completing this course you can get job as a project manager, business management role, data management head, business analyst etc. However the the basic salary can be from 5 lakh to 12 lakh per annum.

In another hand MSc in computer science is really dedicated to various types of coding and computer knowledges. After passing this course you can get a job as data analyst data scientist computer engineer software developer etc.

Both are very good but 8 off campus placement is quite difficult in MBA in IT.if you have deep interest in coding and computer science field then you should go for MS in Computer Science
