In 2016, Supreme Court passed an order stating that admission into medical colleges (private or government) can be done only via NEET UG. A candidate must qualify NEET UG to take admission into medical colleges. This rule extends for admission into foreign medical schools too. Only AIIMS and JIPMER are the two institutions that do not use NEET UG scores for admission. Rather they hold their individual entrance exams for admissions.

Hii aspirant..
There are three ways to get admission in MBBS course in India. To get admission you need to qualify any one of these entrance exams
- NEET
- AIIMS entrance exam
- Jipmer entrance exam
Other that there are many private colleges offering admission but they've keep mandatory for the students to atleast appear in the Neet exam.
But with other two entrance exam you can get seat in MBBS college without appearing in NEET exam.
Hope it helps .
Best of luck.
NEET is compulsory for getting admission to various medical and dental colleges across India. If you want to pursue MBBS degree in India, you should get qualifying marks in NEET to be able to appear in various counselling procedures of All India Quota and state quota. Apart from NEET, AIIMS and JIPMER conduct their separate entrance exams for admission into their respective institutions. Even for getting admission into AYUSH courses like BAMS, BHMS, BHMS etc. NEET has been made compulsory. The conducting authority is National Testing Agency(NTA).
Hope this helps you.
