Dear aspirant;

No cutoff for admission, all based upon ranks. Every year the strength increases. 2014-18 batch(my batch) had 240 seats in the following distribution of categories:

100 seats category 1

50 seats category 2

50 seats category 3

40 seats category 4

But, the current scenario is:

there are 219 students and not many are from category one as they got admission in their better (according to them) regional colleges and in NITs.

You have to at least score around 40-50 to get into VIT

Around 40 in VITEEE. Which correspond to a rank of around 60k

VITEEE Cutoff 2018 – VIT University does not release any cutoff for VITEEE. However, the opening and closing rank of VITEEE 2018 will be considered as the cutoff for admissions. VITEEE 2018 cutoff is the closing rank or the last rank at which admission is closed at the institute. This means that candidates aspiring to seek admission in B.Tech programmes at VIT University must secure a rank equal to or below the closing rank. Candidates having ranks above the cutoff of VITEEE 2018 will not be considered for admissions.

The closing marks and institute wise cutoff will depend on several factors. Some of the important factors that is considered by the authority and institutes while preparing for VITEEE cutoff are given below:

How VITEEE 2018 Cutoff will be calculated?Based on equating method- An equating method is used to calculate the rank of candidates who appeared inVITEEE 2018. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in VITEEE 2018 to be considered eligible for counselling and admission procedure. Check expected VITEEE cutoff 2018 based on last year exam. Candidates with 118+ marks will be allotted higher rank range from 01 to 250.
