Hi Indira,I'm sorry, but I realised that you referred to Madras Institute of Technology.Well,it's a good college for engineering. Its been rated 'AAAA' And the student rating is also above 4 which is 4.1/5.The fees for the courses offered is around 2LPA whereas the average placement package is around 3-4 LPA.Thus the ROI is really good, you can consider it.I hope it's helpful.Still if you have any problems/queries for further clarification you avn always visit the link below:www.google.com/amp/s/www.careers360.com/colleges/chennai-institute-of-technology-chennai/ampThank you.All the best!

Hello Indira,

See MIT is one of a kind University. Is it good or bad? I would say mediocre college for Engineering purpose. Why I have said this please read the following:-

MIT is just like another private university in India. If you want to compare this college with IIT or NIT or BITs then let it be. If you consider Maharashtra then it ranks up in the top 5 depending on the branch.

1. The academics you will get here is Okay-type. Some teachers are exceptionally well as they are teaching the same thing over the years(with due respect). But they are not updated that much. You may not find any of the faculty doing relevant research.

2. Here the infrastructure is really good. It attracts many students to join this University. Tell me one thing if you have the best technology and you don't know how to use it, then it is meaningless. Hope you understand what I am talking about.

3. Job opportunities are provided if you have a good record in academics. Top companies do come in but ultimately it's on you, how to prepare yourself to get hired.

4. The weather in Pune in amazing to live. Food outlets are superb.
5. The crowd is exceptionally good. There are people with good ambition and a drive so you will be kept on your feet provided you keep good company.

6. The population in the college is very high(appx. 3500 students get admission every year)
6. A lot of events are supported by the college. You will get opportunities to excel.

8. It completely depends on you, how you look at the college if you want to get placed anonymously then it is okay but if you want all-round development and get a dream job then you should think of another college.

Hope this helps. If you require details on any point feel free.
