Yes , you are elligible for CSIR NET Lecturership. While filling the applicaiton form , you need to opt for Lecturership if you want to pursue lecturership.
When you are applying, you get to choose between the five streams which is -
- Life sciences,
- Mathematical sciences
- Chemical sciences
- Physical sciences , and
- Earth sciences.
These are the main five divisions. You need to opt for LIFE sciences and then after opting for that , in the application form , you will get sub-Division of the above. Which means, the specified subject, at that point you can select Microbiology as your subject.
You Have the qualification to attempt CSIR NET exam for microbiology itself. In order to be eligible, you need to be in prefinal year or final year of M.Sc.
Also, since you are willing to choose lecturership, you need to mention in the begining itself whether you are taking Junior Research fellowship or Lecturership as Lecturership doesnt ahve any upper age limit but JRF has age limit for 28 years maximum.
There is varied Eligibility criteria for this as well. You need to have 55% aggregate as qualifying marks for General Category and 50% for Other castes. Also, If you consider JRF and you have exceeded age limit, then youll be consideerd for Lecturership automatically.
Now , the applications for CSIR NET june exam is closed. You can apply for CSIR NET december month exam. For the exam which is conducted in june , Last date was on 22 March 2019. But dont worry, because CSIR NET exam is Conducted twice every year. One in June and one in december. If you miss june , you can attempt in december.
You can apply for december 2019 if you have missed for june 2019. And the scores if you qualify, will be elligible for 2 years. So make sure to prepare well.
