My jee rank is 5257 and jee adv rank is 1471 in SC category. Even though I gave float option in 2nd round I am allotting the same college .

It all depends on if the candidates who got more marks and better college than yours is interested or willing to leave . If he doesnt leaves the better option then definitely you are going to get the same seat inspite of the fact that you have chosen to float. Float is that you want to go upwards in choice but not that you are definitely going upwards. It all depends of the candidates who got better marks than yours.
