My name is AMIT JAIN. I want to know that Jain's can get reservation under ews scheme. Please reply as soon as possible.

Dear Amit,

EWS (Economically weaker Section)  certificate are given for people belonging to the  General category.

Eligibility criteria for EWS

  • Person should be from general category
  • Family's annual income should be lesser than 8 lakh
  • Current Residential area of the Family should be lesser than 1000sqr.ft
  • Agricultural properties and land area should be less than 5 acres

Persons of Jainism from some states like karnataka are eligible if and only if they meet the above mentioned criteria

Thanks for reply. Please tell me one more thing, I'm from Uttar Pradesh. So I'm eligible for EWS Reservation or not.
