My rank in AP EAMCET is 8559.I want to join JNTU Pulivendula or JNTU kalikiri.But i am a TS candidate.Do these college will accept me?

I came through these types of questions various times so i thought to research on it. Well i found one article, you can also have a rreas which will clear your all doubts on this issue.

Local areas:


Andhra University (A.U. area) includes Nagarjuna University area.

Sri Venkateswara University (S.V.U. area) includes Sri Krishnadevaraya University area.

Osmania University (O.U. area) includes Kakatiya University area.

Non Local areas:


Candidates not meeting the above criteria will be considered as non-locals.

Candidate belonging to PIO / OCI category will be considered as under non local category only.

A candidate will be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area (AU/ OU/ SVU) in the following cases:


If he or she has studied in an educational institution or institutions in such local area for a period of four or more consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he or she appeared or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be.

During the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years in which he or she appeared, or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination, he or she has not studied in any educational institutions, if he or she resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the relevant qualifying examination in which he/she appeared, or first appeared, as the case may be.

If he or she has studied in the educational institutions in the state for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he or she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to

Local area where he or she studied for the maximum period out of period of seven years.

OR


Where the period of his or her study in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she studied last in such equal periods.

If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in the educational institutions, in any local area, but has resided in the state during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to

Such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years.

OR


Where the period of his/her residence in two or more local areas is equal such local area where he/she had resided last in such periods.

Candidates belonging to PIO/ OCI category will be considered as under non local category only.

Candidates coming under any of the categories given below will be treated as ‘Non-Local’ to all the three University areas specified above.

Candidates who have resided in the state of T.S./ A.P. for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the period of study outside this state.

OR


Candidates either of whose parents has resided in this state for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the periods of employment outside the state

OR


Candidates either of whose parents are employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.

OR


Candidates who are spouses of those employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.

Qualifying exam marks :::


Candidates must have obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate in the subjects mentioned above in 10+2 or any equivalent examination (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).

Age Criteria :::


Candidates must have completed 16 years of age as on December 31, 2018. However, there is no upper age limit.

Candidates applying for admission to B.Tech in Dairy Technology, Agriculture Engineering and Food Technology must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018 and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years for SC and ST candidates as on December 31, 2018.

Aman raj,This the criteria for being local or Nonlocal categoryI had a doubt whether JNTU will take in non local candidates
