So what I would suggest you to apply for multiple colleges at a time and don't settle with any one of them for now. Now as you have mentioned that you want to do engineering in Jawaharlal Nehru technological university, you can get into that as your rank is pretty good. Look every year most of the colleges have three to four round of counseling, now you have to see the number of applicants this college call for the first round of counseling.
