My son bcom percentage is 45 he can get admission for MBA , we general category.
Hello,
The minimum percentage for a student to appear for CAt or any other MBA entrance is 50 in graduation. According to the score you mentioned I am worried that the candidate is not eligible for appearing entrances.
The only exception is MAt and CMAT
But, you can try some colleges that are private, the reason is that they might have lower eligibilty criteria.
All the best
Sorry for incomplete information .
With 45% marks and belongs to general category a student is not eligible for CAT examination but he is eligible for MAT and CMAT .
Thank-you
Hello sir ,
For sure your son is eligible for MBA examination .
Just he have to study really hard to get good college in examination
Thankyou
Hi Wilson,
With 45% in graduation, he may not be able to appear for many national-level MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, etc. However, you can appear for MAT (management aptitude test) and CMAT exams. Both are nationwide MBA entrance exam and more t than 600 B-schools accept MAT scores for their admissions. MAT is conducted 4 times a year. The next exam is in December. You can check all the details of both the exam here - MAT 2018

Hello Wilson,
The eligibility criteria for CAT examination is to hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PwD) categories]. Hence, your son cannot apply for CAT.
But there is no need to lose hope. There are other good examinations which do not consider graduation score as a part of selection process. These examinations are XAT, MAT and CMAT.
Good Luck.
