Since he got 2% less, there is no chance to get admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. But colleges don't end here. There are several engineering colleges who take admission on the basis of JEE mains rank. In WBJEE counselling portal, there is a option using which he can appear there using mains marks. Many private colleges like Thapar University Patiala, Trident college of Engineering Bhubaneswar, MIT pune and many more colleges intakes student according to JEE mains ranking.
