Hello sir

It is hard to say that your son will not get admission in good NIT in core branch because this percentile is not enough to get admission .

Because 95.7665904 percentile is relative score and nearly 4.2 percent students score more than you and when you calculate approximately rank .

Let's considered that nearly 10 lakhs students appear for JEE mains ( may increase or decrease) than your rank will be nearly 42 thousand and and there are limited seats in NIT.

So I would suggest that he should study hard and he has still 2-3 months with him for April exam ; he can do better .

Good luck

Hello Aspirant

You will definitely get NIT but wait for official results

You can use this formula to predict the rank:

Rank Formula = (100 - your total score) X 874469 /100.

On the basis of rank only the cutoff is decided for college.but the official cutoff is released on the month of April you have to wait until the official results are released.if you want to know how the percentile is calculated once go through the below link:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-normalisation-process-how-scores-are-calculate

Once go through the below link to know the cutoff for Nits for previous years:

If you have any questions further let me know.

Thank you!!!
