Hello sir, your son got 69% in Jee mains which when converted in terms of rank, will approximately be equal to 262342 and let me say that 69% is not bad, but he has got a second chance to improve his percentage as he will be writing Jee mains for the second time in a month and since it's best of two, if he gets more than 69% then it will be even more easy for him to get into famous colleges more easily. But as of now let me list down the colleges according to the rank he got:
1) Guru Nanak Institute of Technology - Kolkata
Course: Food Technology
2) Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College - Kolkata
Course: Automobile engineering
3) Malva Institute of Technology - Indore
Course: Mechanical Engineering
So, depending on his percentile these are the best colleges and if he is not satisfied with them, he has one more shot and if he gets more than the first then he will surely be placed in a good college.
All the best!
Above is the possible rank you can get. The final rank will be based on the best of
