As per the ruels of government of karnataka the candidates who are applying for the KCET should have past 7 years of education in the karnataka state, you can get thad documents by collecting bonafide certifictes from the school in which your son studied.
For engineering candidates must pass in mathematics and physics and in english language, and should score 45% of marks in mathematics and physics [40% for SC/ST] .
For B.pharmacy candidates must score atleast 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology
[40% for SC/ST candidates] .
Application Fee:
For general and OBC the application fee is INR 650/-, for SC/ST the fee is INR500/-, candidates who reside outside the karnataka if they are willing to write KCET then fee for them is INR 750/-, and the candidates who are out of India then for them the fee will be INR 5000/-.

THANK YOU.
The academic study from Karnataka, should be for a minimum of 7 years, starting from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/ 12th standard. Candidates should have appeared or passed either 10th/ SSLC or 2nd PUC/ 12th standard. So I think your ward satisfies the above mentioned criteria and he/she is eligible for KCET.
