Myself belongs SC category..how much percentile is required in CAT EXAM to get call from IIM BANGALORE??
I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 80 percentile to get a call for the next round.
All the best!
VA: 70
DI/LR: 65
QA: 65
Aggregate: 75
In the year 2016:
VA: 60
QA: 50
DI-LR: 50
Aggregate: 70
This is in particular to the category you asked about and all the values are percentiles.
You can only be insightful and predict the cut offs, however try to cross the limit and try to achieve 85+ to be on a safer side. 90+ percentile would be like an icing on the cake. Dream high and work hard to achieve them. With just one week to go, brush up your concepts, give 1 or 2 mock tests (if you wish to) and analyse them and ultimately stay calm on the D-day. Paddle through those three years to the best of your calibre and things will work well.
All the best!!
To get a call from IIM Bangalore you need to score atleast above 92+ percentile.
But scoring percentile will not be enough because you must need to know that after CAT exam every IIM makes a merit list based on your aggregate score which comprises of many factors such as CAT marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender with different weightages for different colleges.
There is also one more twist that even if you have a good profile then also it can be a little difficult to get a call from IIM Bangalore because it gives way more weightage to work experience. IIM Bangalore seeks for students who have high work experience or the one who have done extremely well in academics like scoring more than 95% in 10th 12th and graduation.
So to get a call from IIM Bangalore break the limits of percentile. I strongly recommend you to aim for scoring 95+ PERCENTILE. This will help you in getting a call from all 3 top IIMs i.e.IIM A, B and C.
Higher the percentile, higher will be the probability of your call conversion.
All the best for your last days preparations and exams!!
