Congratulations! Your first priority should be the course, as both colleges are almost equally reputed.
NIT Jalandhar fares better in the latest NIRF ranking list(42nd rank), though both colleges are among the top 100 in the country. The Mechanical department has a strict faculty, good placements (avg package 5-6 lakhs per year) and gives nice exposure to its students.
NIT Jamshedpur is also great in placements. EE is a good branch and has excellent opportunities in placements and research. Faculty is also decent.
At the end of the day, it is your interest and abilities that matter for placements and higher studies. So you may choose according to your interest as you have to spend atleast next four years studying it. All the best.
