hello aspirant,
i hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that it is quite difficult to predict precisely the Marks Vs percentile Score for EWS Category Students in JEE mains exam. This is because the JEE mains cutoff varies every year and is different for different category student.
The JEE mains qualifying Cutoff depends on several factors like :
-
Number of candidates appeared for the exam.
-
Number of seats available.
-
Difficulty level of JEE Main 2022 exam.
-
Previous year JEE Main cutoff trends.
However, looking at the previous year JEE mains cutoff for EWS category candidates, Getting admission in NITs require general rank below 30000 . It would be safe if you get that. And you may get NITs till 40000 somehow . So coming for EWS quota there will be 10% increment in seats. Further, if youy talk about the percentile score, you must need to score more than 97 percentile in your JEE mains.

Hello there
It totally varies with year to year but if I tell you generally then for being in general EWS category you must score above 95 percentile to get into top NITs. But here at this percentile also there may be chances you need to sacrifice the desired branch.
So I would suggest you to get Branches like Computer Science Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Information Technology as you've mentioned and they are on the top you must score upto 99 percentile Or above to be at the safer side and to get the desired branch.

I hope it helps you!
Good luck!
