Respected Sir/Mam, I wanted to ask that after completing bsc nursing in Armed Force Medical College what should I do for getting a higher post and to continue my job in army? Please reply to this question, it's very urgent.

Hello,
Once you have completed your course you will be selected for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Military Nursing Service for five years and the service can be extended upto 14 years (5+5+4 years) depending on your performance, requirement and willingness to serve. You will be commissioned as lieutenant on entry level and as the service increase you will be promoted to higher rank and it is as follows
- Lieutenant- Entry level
- Captain- On completion of 3 years of service
- Major- On completion of 8 years of service
Permanent Commission Promotion
- Lieutenant- Entry level
- Captain- On completion of 3 years of service
- Major- On completion of 8 years of service
- Lieutenant Colonel- On completion of 16 years of service
- Colonel- On selection
- Brigadier- On selection
- Major General- On selection
