According to your question you are taking a drop second time for jee mains preparation. Well it doesn't affect your placement chances directly. It can affect your image and impression indirectly as the recruiter might judge your performance capabilities on this basis. However you can improve it during your graduation by being a brilliant student in academics as well as extracurricular activities.
