But, if you want government college then try for HBTU, Kanpur as this is a government college. It depends on what basis you are comparing.

Hbtu is a government college where as sgsits is a autonomus private college (approved by UCG) , it will be better if you go for HBTU Kanpur.

The placments are basically better in government colleges than any other private college.

Overall rating is also better for HBTU than SGSITS.
